Favorite piercing to perform:
Septum/Conch.
Septums are stout. Initially I didn’t back them but I’ve grown to back their power levels.
The truth lies somewhere between the symmetry and centered, ground vibe of the area.
Most peeps can rock it and 14G should be the norm. It’s superior and contains great strength.

Conch is another choice area. Feels good to pierce. Just enough rump to be physical and rewarding and just enough real estate to not be impeded and drowned out by other piercings. Very good, very nice.

What you enjoy the most about piercing:
To be honest, it’s the subtle mirror scope after everything’s done. You can feel the power emanate from the client. There’s a silent reward to tweaking someone’s armour. It’s kind of like transitioning from a T-shirt to Beskar. Just grouse and Mandalorians are well good.

Funny anecdotes/quotes/experiences in the studio:
Banter’s always a guiding light in the studio to ease peeps into it and take anxiety out of the equation as much as possible but the dense, re-occurring question that gets pinged out is:
Q. “Does it hurt?”
A. Ohh, yeah.. nah, yeeeehhh.

There’s also the big self-reassurance statements like “I’ve got this, I have like thirteen tattoos.”
Nek minut.

What you enjoy the most about piercing:
I think the energy exchange of a piercing or even a tattoo is really powerful. It is a privilege for me to be able to preform a piercing on anyone in whatever capacity and just to be able to have a form of exchange and build a rapport. It doesn’t matter where we’re from or who we are, or what our background is, the doors of piercing or tattooing ultimately break down this identity, allowing us to lock in a profound bond.
I make it my purpose to constantly go above and beyond for whatever client I have, to make them feel safe and comfortable in the moment, so they really enjoy and remember the experience. There’s always a reason as to why someone has chosen to get a piercing. They could be on a specific life path or redirection they’ve set out on and I’m here to help them remember this moment in some way shape or form. Its just a super empowering and uplifting.

Funny anecdotes/quotes/experiences in the studio:
• This one time I found a piece of corn in someone’s nose when prepping for a piercing.. no one was sure as to how it found its way there but nonetheless it created some giggles.

• Smashing out 104 piercings in a day was a huge epic achievement for me during schoolies 2019!!

• “piercings have a power and magic all their own. They decorate the body, but they also enhance the soul”.

I would say my favourite piercings to perform are Vertical Labrets and horizontal eyebrows. Both are quirky piercings that I think need to be more popular!

Honestly, it’s the mixed look of relief, excitement and surprise when the client sees their finished piercing on themselves. To be able to bring people such a positive feeling is such a blessing.

Funny anecdotes/quotes/experiences in the studio:
I was going to chuck a simpsons quote in here, Bart I changed my mind.
Nah, in all seriousness, the best experience that come to mind is when I achieved 100+ piercings in a day during a promo. (Mad flex)

Funny anecdotes/quotes/experiences in the studio:
This one time I used a hemo to screw on a ball in a tight spot and as I grabbed the ball with the tool it shot out at a high velocity, hit the rail of the trolley then bounced back and landed back onto the jewellery pack. Cycle of life.

Favorite piercing to perform:
Nose – It’s just cute! Rock a ring or a stud or even double it up to add a little spice to your life. Love it!

The vibes for sure, having a good chat with our lovely customers, helping people feel good about themselves and helping them have an amazing experience whether it’s their 50th piercing or their very first.

Funny anecdotes/quotes/experiences in the studio:
When the studio turns into a little karaoke den if a banger comes on over the speaker. Helps with the inherent stress of getting a new piercing and results in some top notch harmonies. Australian Idol could never.
